September TBR: Becca’s Bookoplathon

Welcome to my post! It’s been a while since I posted and I don’t think I’ll be able to keep a blogging schedule this month either, especially as I prepare to go to uni! Anyway, today I wanted to share my September TBR for Becca’s Bookoplathon (more info in this video).

Becca’s Bookoplathon2021 digital boardDice rolls

1. Hyped

The first roll I got was a hyped book! Both of these sequels are extremely popular, especially Royal Assassin, but because it’s so long I wanted to give myself an option depending on how my reading’s going. Either way, I’m excited for both of them and have put them off for too long!

2. History

she who became the sun

This space means a book that is historical fiction or based around a historical event/time. She Who Became the Sun is based on the founding emperor of the Ming dynasty rising to power, and it’s the ARC I’m currently reading so it’s perfect! I’m only 10% in so far and I can’t wait to keep reading.

3. Spooky

no exit

This just means anything with spooky vibes and No Exit sounds like a spooky thriller. I’m hoping it’s better than the thriller I read this month, Survive the Night (spoiler alert, I rated it 2 stars).

4. Last Colour

the city of brass

This mean that you have to pick a book with a cover that has a similar colour to the book you last read. Since I’m currently reading She Who Became the Sun, I chose that and The City of Brass fits quite well with the yellow, orange and black.

5. POC Rep

Lastly, I landed on POC rep and I have a lot of options. The two that I own, The Stone Sky and Jade War, are both sequels I need to get to (and even better if I can double up on Jade War!). However, there are two new releases I really want to buy and read soon so if I can get my hands on them they will be a priority. And can we appreciate Redemptor’s cover oh my god it’s beautiful??

So that’s my TBR for the month, I hope I can get through them all! What are you planning to read this month?
