Welcome to my May TBR, where I’ll be sharing my flexible reading plans for May. I’m not taking part in any readathons and I still have exams until the end of the month so I’m trying to have a chill reading month. I do have a few ARCs that I want to get to but apart from that I can read whatever I want!

I wanted to start these in April but I didn’t quite get to them, so let’s try again this month! I’ll probably be reading these first because they are both being released on 6th May. I haven’t read anything from either author yet and this is a great opportunity to see if I like their works!

Thanks to my ebook retail therapy after exams, I have some more choice from my physical TBR. I recently finished Siege and Storm (more thoughts to come), so I would love to finish the series soon with Ruin and Rising while I’m invested in the TV show and everything. I’m so surprised I haven’t stumbled on any spoilers yet! Hold Back the Tide is another new addition and it’s not in my usual genre but it sounds intriguing and I’ve heard great reviews. Under the Udala Trees has been on my TBR for a little longer but it’s a sapphic historical fiction set in Nigeria so I’m still just as excited to read it!

Thanks for reading! Do you have any plans for May?

  1. Ooh, you’re juggling both the TV show and the books for the Grishaverse! That’s so cool! I really do hope you enjoy them! The TV show is actually one of the most faithful book-to-screen adaptations out there! I just found your blog and it’s been really fun reading your posts! I hope to finish at least 8 books in May! Good luck on finishing your TBR, Ella!
