Welcome to another Sunday wrap up, where I talk about my week and my reading progress!
My Week
This week was an improvement from last week overall, but maybe not in reading! It was two people’s birthdays this week so I went out twice for that. It was just at the park since nothing’s open yet, but it was still fun! For the rest of the week I’ve been panicking about exams next week because I don’t feel prepared enough at all, but I’m just going to try and make it work and pray for the best! I’m not ready for the 7am start either because I’ve got used to getting up at 10am at the earliest. Still, it’s been a good holiday for resting and revising.
Sadly I didn’t manage to get two extra posts up like normal but I did post my top 10 books of 2021 so far. Next week I will probably only have one post and a weekly wrap up so stay tuned!
My Week in Books
I did finish one book this week– The Beautiful Ones! This isn’t the sort of book I’d normally read and I only requested the ARC because it was by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, but I did end up enjoying it! The first half was quite slow and hard to get into, but I eventually got invested and flew through the last half. I liked how even with the ‘villains’ you could sympathise with them and understand their actions but it didn’t make them less frustrating! I think I’m going to give this one 3.5 stars?
I’ve just started The Ones We’re Meant to Find and I’m confused but intrigued! I also listened to about 20% of The Only Good Indians this week and I’ve got to 80% through, so I’ll be trying to finish that before college starts on Tuesday.
Thanks for reading! How was your week?
