April TBR | Mythothon

Welcome to my April TBR! I’m not expecting to read much because of revision and exams all month, but here is a selection of books I’m hoping to get to! I’m going to be taking part in Mythothon too because it just looks so amazing and I can’t help myself, but I won’t be pressuring myself to read loads, so my TBR is very loose.

ARCs

So I requested a lot of ARCs thinking I’d get rejected for most of them but then I got approved for some all at once! I got approved for The Beautiful Ones this week after my post of authors I want to read more of featuring Silvia Moreno-Garcia, so I’m desperate to read that one this month! All the others are released in the first week of May, so I’m aiming to start most of them in April to stay on top of reviews (will that actually happen? I’m not promising anything!). They all sound so promising though, I can’t wait!

Other

Um so Siege and Storm one was on my March TBR and sadly I didn’t get around to buying and reading it. However, I’m making it my mission to finish the Grisha trilogy before the Netflix show comes out on April 23rd, so this will be a priority! I also have the audiobook of Black Sun on Scribd which I would love to read, since it’s the April group read for The Crusty Club and fits the Buzzwordathon prompt (a title with something related to space). I’m desperate to read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo as well because I’ve been meaning to read it since February!

Mythothon

Mythothon Round 4 is happening! Foxes and Fairy Tales has a full blog post with the prompts and rules if you’re interested. Here are the prompts I’m using to fit with the rest of my TBR:

Group book: Legendborn by Tracy Deonn

Morgan le Fay — read a story about a villainous, misunderstood or morally grey character: Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

Sir Gawain (Known as the Green Knight) — read a book with the colour green on the cover or in the title: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins-Reid

Sir Bors (Arthur’s successor) — read a sequel: Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

Sir Kay (Arthur’s foster brother) — read a book with a significant sibling relationship: The Ones We’re Meant to Find by Joan He

Sir Bedivere (returns Excalibur to Nimue) — read a book with something pointy on the cover: Fence Vol 2 by C S Pascat

Sir Gaheris (“the least well spoken of all his peers”) — listen to an audiobook or read part of a story aloud: Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse

Thanks for reading! What are you planning on reading?

  1. Good luck on your TBR! I’m trying to finish the Grisha trilogy (and read the Six of Crows duology) before the Netflix show is out, too 😀
