The Girl From The Other Side

30139736. sx318

✿ fantasy, manga

✿ 170 pages

✿ published 2017

I was drawn to The Girl From The Other Side from the beautiful cover and its dark atmosphere. I can already tell the artwork is going to be amazing, and I love the promised unlikely friendship!

Euphoria Kids

52857576. sx318 sy475

✿ fantasy, YA, LGBT

✿ 247 pages

✿ published 2020

Euphoria Kids is about friendship and identity, with magical elements and non-human characters. All 3 main characters are queer too! It sounds so wholesome.

Braised Pork

45161754. sy475

✿ contemporary

✿ 240 pages

✿ published 2020

Braised Pork sounds weird and strange, from the cover and title! It’s described as an “exploration of myth-making, loss, and a world beyond words, which ultimately sees a young woman find a new and deeper sense of herself”. I’m intrigued.

And The Trees Crept In

28449150

✿ horror, YA

✿ 352 pages

✿ published 2016

I’ve accidently gone with a tree theme here! And The Trees Crept In sounds creepy and might have some paranormal elements? Everyone I know who’s read it has said that it actually scary, and I don’t get scared by books very easily so I can’t wait to try this out!

Ninth House

43263680

✿ mystery, fantasy

✿ 459 pages

✿ published 2019

I keep hearing about how good Ninth House is, I desperately need to read it! I want to read more of Leigh Bardugo’s works, and this sounds quite different from her other books. It’s got dark academia vibes too, so that’s always a bonus!

Thanks for reading! Have you read any of these?
